"Southampton" striker Danny Ings has been showing amazing athletic form lately and this season in the "Premier" league he is one of the most productive footballers, already scoring 14 goals.
At the age of 27, the Englishman is increasingly mentioned as a candidate who could replace the injured Harry Kane in the national team, as Kane may miss the upcoming European Football Championship due to injury.
In a conversation with NBC, D. Ings said that his chances depend on what type of striker England national team coach Gareth Southgate wants, but he is confident that he has his own strengths.
"My chances of getting into the national team depend on what kind of striker Gareth Southgate wants.
"In the ranks of "Southampton" I often have to press my opponents and look for spaces. I don't often get to touch the ball.
If the coach needs such a player, then I think I could offer it to him", - D. Ings spoke about his chances of getting into the national team.
The striker has played in the England national team ranks in just one match, when in 2015 he appeared on the field in a match against Lithuania.
