Another well-known footballer will not play in the World Championship in Qatar.
The 25-year-old Liverpool striker Diogo Jota injured his leg in a Premier League match (1-0) against Man City and was sidelined for a long time.
The bad news was confirmed by Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp.
"We are talking about months. We don't want to set a specific time, but this process will take a long time," the coach said.
"The initial diagnosis was very clear and very sad for us."
D. Jota, who suffered a serious thigh injury, was one of the leaders of the Portugal national team.
In the Nations League A division, he scored 1 goal and made 1 assist in the last 5 matches.
