otterdam and the Dutch national team player Dirk Kuyt will play in England next season, as it was expected - the forward will move to the team that won the 2004/05 season UEFA Champions League.

The chase for D. Kuyt by Liverpool started even before the summer. It is said in the press that the English club paid around 10 million pounds (about 50 million litas) for the forward. The player will replace the departing Fernando Morientes and Djibril Cisse from Anfield.

D. Kuyt was interested by many other clubs, including , which was considered one of the main contenders, but the forward chose the Liverpool team.

The player left for the city of Liverpool immediately after the stunning victory of the Dutch national team against Ireland. Soon, D. Kuyt should undergo a medical examination and sign the contract.

"Liverpool is a dream team for me, where I always wanted to play," says D. Kuyt. "Many clubs from abroad were interested in me, but none of them were of the same caliber as Liverpool. It is a team with an extraordinary name, fantastic fans, and a wonderful history. It is an honor to represent such a club.
