Dejan Lovren agrees with Jurgen Klopp's statements about the importance of the UEFA Nations League and claims that from the perspective of national teams, this tournament will not change anything.
Today marks the beginning of the second round of the UEFA Nations League. A significant number of strong European national teams are debating whether it was necessary for UEFA to create these competitions, but for slightly smaller countries, such as Romania or Georgia, this could be a chance to qualify for the 2020 European Championship.
Prior to the upcoming match against the English national team, D. Lovren stated: "I agree with everything Klopp said - the Nations League is an absurd tournament.
I see no point in playing all these matches. This is not a tournament where you have to win directly. You can call this tournament whatever you want, but the main fact remains unchanged - all matches are of a friendly nature."
Croatia has already felt the threat of one team in the Nations League - Spain defeated them with a score of 6:0.
