David Luiz has become the newest member of London's "Chelsea" club, which expressed that he would have left if Antonio Conte had continued to lead the team this season.
The 31-year-old defender had a very important role in the team during the first year of A. Conte's coaching, but he barely played last season. There was a lot of talk about the Brazilian's injury for a long time, but the real reason why the defender was left out of the team was the relationship between the two.
"Everyone knows that I would have probably left the club if the coaches hadn't changed," said D. Luiz to "Sky Sports".
When asked about "Chelsea's" ambitions with Maurizio Sarri, the Brazilian replied: "They are the same - to win every game and all tournaments. I think the arrival of the new coach can significantly improve our team. I have seen things with Sarri in a short time that I have never seen before in football."
"Chelsea" team, currently flawless in the "Premier" league, will face "Newcastle" today at 6 pm.
