After a painful defeat against "Manchester City", London's "Chelsea" bounced back in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, where they defeated the "Malmo" team.
Despite this victory, team coach Maurizio Sarri still cannot be at ease about his future with the team. However, "aristocrats" defender David Luiz, speaking to "PA Sport", said that the players believe in the coach's vision.
"We had team meetings where we were asked if anyone doubts the coach's vision. We can all speak openly, but no one did, because everyone believes in the coach," - said D. Luiz.
The Brazilian also downplayed the defeat against "Man City" and stated that the coaches of the leading teams in the "Premier" league have been working in the clubs for more than one season, thus having an obvious advantage over M. Sarri.
"In Manchester, we lost to perhaps the best team in the world at the moment. They were better than us from the first to the last minute.
We lost a few games, but it is part of the progress. The teams currently leading the "Premier" league are coached by people who have been at the helm for at least 3 years.
Such teams have an obvious advantage because the players have internalized what the coach wants from them, making it easier to simply play football.
I believe we are on the right track and can become a fantastic team," - said D. Luiz positively.
