D. Moyes leaves "Sunderland"

"Sunderland" announced that David Moyes has resigned from the position of head coach of the team. Sunderland owner Ellis Short admitted that this decision by the coach has disappointed them a bit.

"We persuaded D. Moyes to stay with us for a long time last summer. Therefore, his decision is difficult for everyone. He worked tirelessly to avoid relegation. Moyes decided to leave the club without compensation, which shows his true character," said Short.

After making such a decision, the coach said: "I would like to thank E. Short and the entire management for giving me the opportunity to coach the Sunderland club. I also want to thank the fans who supported this team so passionately. I hope they will quickly return to the Premier League," said former Sunderland strategist D. Moyes.

The Sunderland team finished the season with 24 points, remaining last and 16 points away from safety in 16th place.
