"Liverpool" hero of the second part of the season Divock Origi has linked his future with the "Reds" club.
UEFA Champions League winners officially confirmed that the 24-year-old Belgian has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the club. The exact duration of the contract is not yet revealed.
His previous contract was valid until 2020, and the player himself was linked with a departure this summer.
D. Origi became a key player in the "Liverpool" team when he scored crucial goals in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. He scored two goals in the semifinal against "Barcelona" and clinched the final against London's "Tottenham".
"I feel great being here. I took a step forward in my career. I should say that I became a man in this club, as I arrived here at the age of 19.
The club is amazing, the players, and all the staff are also great. I always wanted to extend my contract and stay here for a longer time," said D. Origi.
Joined "Liverpool" in 2014, the Belgian scored seven goals in over 20 matches last season.
Divock Origi has committed his future to the Reds.
