D. Romanovskij returns to the Šiauliai basketball club

Just a couple of days before the upcoming summer transfer window, the football academy "Šiauliai" presented its first newbie. The team was strengthened by a player who left a clear mark in Šiauliai football after leaving the Sun City team.

It is worth noting that after last year's season, the goalkeeper initially moved to the team that won the country's champions title for the first time in its history, the "Panevėžio" team, with which the player had signed a one-year contract. However, the contract included a condition that, in favorable circumstances, the player could leave the champions' ranks and move to a foreign club. The attacking goalkeeper took advantage of this opportunity - in the second half of January, he moved to one of the flagships of Georgian football, Tbilisi "Dinamo".

The footballer, originally from Vilnius but with roots in Georgia, played a total of 9 matches and scored once.

His time in Šiauliai was undoubtedly one of the best periods of his career. After a two-year break, the player returned to the national Lithuanian men's team led by Edgaras Jankauskas. Wearing the yellow and black jersey, he played a total of 76 matches, scored 20 goals, and made 17 assists. Additionally, the player was also a contender for the title of the best player in the TOPsport A League.

As before, the player will wear the jersey marked with number 13, and we will be able to see him on the field with it this coming Sunday when Šiauliai hosts the team "Bangos" from Gargždai.
