Before the start of the A League season on March 2, the "Kauno Žalgiris" football club received another reinforcement. The team officially added the Lithuanian national team defender Daniel Romanovskis. The 22-year-old defender, who has been sweating with the team for some time now, returns to Lithuania after spending half a year in Serbia. The football player played in the strongest Serbian league for the Belgrade team "Zemun," but his contract was mutually terminated before the second part of the Serbian football season. D.Romanovskis is well known to A League fans as he has previously played for Vilnius "Žalgiris," Utena "Utenis," and Kaunas "Stumbras" clubs. In 2018, the newcomer to "Kauno Žalgiris" also made his debut in the Lithuanian men's national football team. He appeared in friendly matches against Armenia and Georgia. "It is very pleasant to join a good and ambitious team, especially because the team's coach Mindaugas Čepas wanted to see me in his club. I want to be needed and I want to prove that I can have a good season again. That is why I chose the "Kauno Žalgiris" team. I have been in Kaunas for some time now, so after Serbia, it's very nice to speak Lithuanian again because local players make up the majority here. The atmosphere in the team is very good and I am happy to be here," - said the newcomer of Žalgiris.lt, who will wear the jersey number 13. D. Romanovskis can be seen in official matches with the "Kauno Žalgiris" team starting from March 2 in Klaipeda, in the first A League season match against the local team "Atlantas."
