Madrid's "Atletico" coach Diego Simeone is convinced that the team's star Antoine Griezmann will soon become as good a footballer as Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
For the past eight years, the duo has not allowed anyone else to win the "Ballon d'Or" award.
However, both the Argentine and the Portuguese are approaching veteran age, while the "mattress" forward's game improves with each season.
"Griezmann knows that he is in an amazing club that is growing every day, and the coach appreciates him," Simeone said.
"He is destined to be at the top with Messi, Ronaldo, and the best football players in the world."
The 25-year-old footballer played 54 games in all competitions last season, scoring 32 goals and providing seven assists.
