"Liverpool" coach Brendan Rodgers revealed that striker Daniel Sturridge will be allowed to rest on Thursday and will not play in the UEFA Europa League match against "Sion".
Returning to the starting lineup for the "Reds" over the weekend after an injury, the Englishman scored a brace in the 3-2 win against "Aston Villa".
"He won't be in the match," Rodgers said. "We will keep him fresh for the end of the week. He is still trying to reach optimal physical form."
The strategist also mentioned that there could be more changes in the lineup of the Merseyside club against "Sion". It is believed that Jordan Rossiter, Cameron Brannagan, and Pedro Chirivella could receive more playing minutes.
