"Moscow's" club has extended a contract with forward Dmitry Sytsev for four and a half years. The footballer for the railway team has committed until 2011.
"I have always said that I want to stay at Lokomotiv and I am glad that my desires coincided with the wishes of the club's management," said D. Sytsev.
The 23-year-old forward started his professional football career at Moscow's Spartak club, moved to Marseille in 2002. Since 2004, D. Sytsev has been representing Lokomotiv and has already scored 28 goals in over 80 matches.
However, the beginning of this season has not been successful for him - he has not yet scored in 8 Russian Championship matches.
The forward has also represented the Russian national team 30 times, scoring 11 goals.
Lokomotiv finished in 3rd place last season and this summer will represent Russia in the UEFA Cup tournament.
