D. van de Beek is most likely to stay at Ajax club © JumpStory

It seems that Donny van de Beek will not join Real Madrid this summer.

In recent weeks, the Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital, but after the match against PAOK of Athens, he hinted that there is a high probability he will remain with Ajax in Amsterdam.

"There is nothing concrete yet, but there is a good chance I will stay here," the footballer said. "Regardless of what happens, both Real and Ajax are fantastic clubs. There is nothing to complain about."

According to several Spanish journalists, negotiations for van de Beek's acquisition were halted by Zinedine Zidane, who was focused on Paul Pogba this summer.

Real Madrid sold Mateo Kovacic and Marcos Llorente this summer, as well as loaned out Dani Ceballos, but they did not acquire any new midfielders.

This decision by the club and Zidane has caused significant doubts among Real fans.
