Former "Barcelona" star David Villa has been named the most valuable player of the MLS season.
Representing "New York City" now, the Spaniard received this honor for contributing to the team's victories with 23 goals and four assists.
Interestingly, the striker became the first player of the newly formed club in 2015, and this year he has already helped them reach the playoffs.
Villa beat out the duo of Sacha Kljestan and Bradley Wright-Phillips from New York's "Red Bulls" for the award. Last season's winner, Sebastian Giovinco, finished fourth this time.
The MLS final between "Toronto FC" and Seattle "Sounders" will be played on December 11.
