Julen Lopetegui announced the latest roster of the Spanish national team for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifying matches. In the roster, a familiar face could be seen - 35-year-old veteran David Villa. The successful striker, who plays across the Atlantic, earned his place in the team after a three-year hiatus.
Many thought that D. Villa had already ended his time with the Spanish national team, but his excellent performance in the MLS convinced J. Lopetegui and the legend of "Barcelona" and "Valencia" to return to the national team.
In the 2017 season, D. Villa has scored 38 goals in 49 matches.
There are also other new faces in the Spanish national team - Suso, attacking midfielder for "Milan." Players left out of the lineup include Marcos Alonso, Juan Mata, Cesc Fabregas, and Lucas Vazquez.
