D.Alvesas fell out of the lineup for three weeks

"Barcelona" defender Daniel Alves will have to miss about three weeks without football.

This was stated by the Catalan club's doctors after performing a player's health check.

The footballer played only 19 minutes in the match against "Athletic" Bilbao and was forced to leave the field due to pain in his right calf. In his place, Sergi Roberto came on after the substitution.

Tests conducted on Monday showed that Dani Alves strained his calf. It is estimated that the defender will have to limit his workload for at least three weeks.

This means that the Brazilian will miss the second round match of the Spanish championship against "Malaga" next weekend and may recover in time for the third round match against Madrid's "Atletico", which will be played on September 12, after the so-called national team break.

In the duel with the Basques, midfielder Sergio Busquets also had to leave the field in the second half due to calf pain. However, tests showed that the injury is not serious - neither the muscles nor tendons in the Catalan's leg are damaged, so the player will not need special treatment.
