In Great Britain, the coronavirus crisis deepens. Initially, the government, which responded humbly to the situation, now faces challenges, like most European countries. Similarly, for some time, the leaders of the English Premier League watched the situation, hoping to extend the season by April 3, but this scenario was quickly ruled out - now it is planned to continue the championship fights until April 30. However, as the English media reports, even this scenario is not very realistic at the moment. Journalist David Ornstein from "The Athletic" claims that some Premier League club executives have already started to consider the possibility of cancelling the season altogether. One of the league leaders, whose identity is not disclosed, is also talking about suspending the league: "Right now, football is not the most important thing. The most important things now are the goods being taken out of stores, and we are just playing a game." Such a scenario for the season would most disappoint the "Liverpool" club, which is only two victories away from the championship title. The "Reds" have a 25-point lead over their closest pursuers. According to the mentioned source, in order for the season to be suspended, it must be approved by representatives of 14 out of 20 clubs.
