Daniele Arrigoni will not step down from the position of head coach of "Livorno" after all, as the president of the club, Aldo Spinelli, changed his mind.
On Sunday, after a crushing 1-5 defeat to the "Atalanta" club, reports surfaced that the club president, disappointed with the team's results, decided to fire the coach.
However, the coach immediately began to defend himself vigorously, with several "Livorno" players, including the team captain and leader Cristiano Lucarelli, supporting him. The president held a meeting with these players, and they managed to convince him to reconsider his decision.
Then, A. Spinelli met with D. Arrigoni himself and allowed him to explain the failures, and after the conversation, the president decided to reinstate the coach as the head coach.
It is also said that D. Arrigoni will be given the chance to add a few new players to the squad. The coach returned to the team's training sessions on Tuesday morning.
