Legendary Englishman David Beckham praised the mastery of "Barcelona" leader Lionel Messi. According to the former midfielder, the Argentine player far surpasses his closest competitor Cristiano Ronaldo. "He is the only player of his class, it is simply impossible for there to be another footballer like him. A step below is C. Ronaldo and these two athletes outshine all the others," said D. Beckham. He also recalled how in 2013, while defending the colors of PSG, he played in the Champions League quarterfinal series against "Barcelona" which ended in a 3-3 draw, with the Catalans advancing due to away goals. "We were leading against L. Messi stepping onto the field, but when he appeared, the Barcelona team scored a goal. Our team played well in both matches and achieved things we could be proud of."
