The club veteran, Dutchman Dennis Bergkamp, has signed a new one-year contract with the English champions.
This season, the striker who has scored 7 goals in over 35 matches was very pleased with the contract extension and stated on the official club website: "I am very happy to play at Arsenal for another year. This will be my 10th season at the club and it shows what Arsenal means to me. We have a great team and a good atmosphere that has led us towards a new Premier League title."
The team's coach, Arsene Wenger, also expressed his joy at the news - "We are happy that Dennis will stay with us for another season. He has once again proven that despite his age, he remains important to our team. Dennis is a professional and I know that his experience and talent will greatly help us."
Bergkamp moved to Arsenal in 1995 after an unsuccessful season at his previous club. The English team paid £7.5 million for the player at that time.
