Declare six candidates to win the PFA Player of the Year award

Professional Footballers Association (PFA) announced the players competing in the English Premier League who are nominated for the Player of the Year award.

Last season's winner, Mohamed Salah, did not make the shortlist and was replaced by two other Liverpool representatives - Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

From Manchester City, three players are competing for the title - Sergio Aguero, the league's top scorer with 19 goals, Raheem Sterling, and Bernardo Silva.

The list is completed by Chelsea representative Eden Hazard, who scored 16 goals and made 12 assists in 33 Premier League games this season.

The favorites are believed to be Van Dijk and Sterling. The winner is expected to be determined by which team triumphs in the Premier League.

Nominated for the award of the best young player are Declan Rice (West Ham), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Marcus Rashford (Man Utd), David Brooks (Bournemouth), as well as previous winners Sterling and Silva.

The main award ceremony, where the winners will be announced, will take place on April 28 in London.
