On Monday night, in the late evening, in the last matches of the twenty-eighth round of the English Premier League, the players of "Man City" won a victory with a minimal result.
The champions Roberto Mancini's players defeated Birmingham's "Aston Villa" 1-0 away, increasing their lead over the closest pursuer in the battle for the second place, London's "Tottenham" club, to five points.
The only goal of the match came at the end of the first half, when Edin Dzeko took a ball from a mistake by Ciaran Clark, passed it to Carlos Tevez, and the Argentine gave no chance to goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
"Aston Villa" is fighting to stay in the league and currently sits in 17-18th place with 24 points.
