The French national team in Qatar faces a very difficult task - defending the 2018 World Champions title.

History reminds us that in the last half century, no team has managed to solve this challenge.

The best performances were in 1998 and 1990 by the Brazilian and Argentinian national teams, which reached the final.

The last time the title defense was successful was in 1962 for the Brazilian team.
