Del Piero: my driving force - love for "Juventus" club © EuroFootball.com

Alessandro Del Piero denies that negotiations for a new contract with Turin are deadlocked due to his demanded salary and insists he can sign an "empty piece of paper."

The 36-year-old veteran's current contract is valid until June.

"The driving force of my career has always been a great love for football, for the colors of Juventus, and for the fans," the Italian said. "The essence is not money. I have earned a lot of it in my life, although I could have earned even more if I had accepted certain offers."

"I am willing to sign my last contract on an empty piece of paper, just like the first one."

This season in Serie A, Del Piero played 23 matches, starting in 12 of them, and scored four goals.
