On Monday evening in 2020, the last matches of groups D, F, and J were played in the European Championship qualifiers.
The most important match of the evening took place in Dublin, where the local audience supported Ireland as they fought against Denmark for a spot in the European Championship. Despite not winning, the Irish opened the doors for Denmark to the tournament next year.
In the same Group D, Switzerland secured the first position and qualification to the European Championship with a convincing victory against Gibraltar.
In other matches, Italy finished their impressive journey in the European Championship qualifiers with a fantastic victory. Roberto Mancini's team defeated Armenia 9-1.
Italy won all possible victories in 10 matches, scored 34 goals, and only conceded four.
In a similar style, Spain finished the qualifiers at home with a 5-0 victory over Romania.
