On Tuesday, two German Cup quarter-final matches took place.
Dramatically, the "RB Leipzig" team advanced to the semi-finals, winning 2-1 away in extra time against the "Augsburg" footballers.
The visitors took the lead in the 74th minute after a goal from T. Werner, but A. Finnbogason equalized in added time and the teams were forced to play extra time.
Right at the end of extra time, "RB Leipzig" was awarded a penalty kick, which was successfully converted by M. Halstenberg.
After this blow, "Augsburg" did not have time to recover and "RB Leipzig" advanced to the semi-finals.
In other matches, the "Hamburger" team advanced to the semi-finals by defeating the "Paderborn" footballers 2-0 away.
