D.Ginola: "I was dead for eight minutes"

ormer famous "Tottenham" and "Aston Villa" midfielder David Ginola revealed that a few months ago he almost didn't make it.

During a charity match, the Frenchman's heart stopped beating for eight minutes, but medics managed to revive him.

During the incident, D. Ginola's tongue blocked his airways and the footballer experienced clinical death.

"Players thought I was joking, but soon they noticed the deteriorating situation and called for medics.

Later it became clear that my heart wasn't beating for about 8 minutes - I was dead.

Medics used the defibrillator three times and after the last attempt, they were almost giving up," Ginola said.

He also thanked his friend Frederic Mendy, who properly administered first aid until the resuscitation procedure.
