The head coach of Schalke, Roberto Di Matteo, admits that beating Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium will be especially difficult for them.
The German team will face Real in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tomorrow. The first match ended with a 2-0 victory for the "Royal Whites".
Di Matteo, who took over Schalke in October 2014, said at a press conference: "In order to compete with a team of such level as Real, our team must have a good day. I hope that tomorrow will not be a good day for Real and we will achieve a positive result."
"Our squad is good enough. Players strive and improve every day, which is very important," added the strategist who led Chelsea to the top of the Champions League in 2012.
