Attacker David Trezeguet revealed that he is informed about the possible arrival of his former teammate in the French national team, Didier Deschamps, to Turin.
Recently, there have been reports in the French and Italian press that the most realistic contender to replace Marcello Lippi as the coach of Turin's Juventus is indeed Didier Deschamps.
Lippi's future in the Juventus club is very uncertain, especially after the recent matches when the Turin team did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals (losing twice to La Coruna) and lost to a team at their stadium in the Italian championship with a score of 1-3.
Now, Lippi is already linked to the Italian national team, as the current coach Giovanni Trapattoni intends to step down from this position after the European Championship.
Meanwhile, Didier Deschamps, after spending a year at the club, achieved excellent results and immediately attracted the attention of top clubs.
Nevertheless, Trezeguet does not make too much of it and is now trying to focus all his attention on the end of the season.
"Yes, it's true that people mention Didier as a possible contender for the position of Juventus coach," Trezeguet said. "But we will work with Lippi until the end of the season and so far he hasn’t mentioned anything to us about his future plans."
