"Manchester United" forward Diego Forlan has stated that he wants to play for "Atletico" club and hopes that negotiations between clubs will end as soon as possible.
"Of course I would like to play for Madrid's Atletico club," said Forlan.
"I know that this club has loyal fans. I spoke with a compatriot who played for Atletico club. He told me that if I play for Atletico, I will never want to leave that club," he added.
"I am pleased when other teams are interested in me. Atletico club is one of the biggest in the world and my agent has already started negotiations for my transfer," he mentioned.
Diego also thinks about playing alongside young Fernando Torres.
"He is a player whose reputation is growing at an incredible pace," the Uruguayan told the newspaper "Marca."
Forlan ended up on the list of "Man Utd" players for sale after an unsuccessful last season, during which the forward rarely appeared on the field.
