Gareth Southgate announced the composition of the England national team that will go to the World Cup in Russia a few days ago. However, many were surprised by the coach's decision not to include Jack Wilshere in the squad.
The disappointment was not hidden by the footballer himself, who believes he deserved a place in the England team.
"I think it's time for me to speak up. I don't even need to say how incredibly disappointed I am to be left out of the England squad going to the World Cup.
"I felt ready, in good athletic form and strong throughout the season. I believe I should be in the squad," Wilshere wrote on his Twitter account.
The 26-year-old Briton, who plays for Arsenal in London, scored 2 goals and made 7 assists in over 40 matches this season.
