The Spanish team, due to poor team results, fired Gregorio Manzano from his position as head coach, just 7 months after taking over.
The 48-year-old Spaniard, who previously coached Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano, replaced Juande Ramos at the beginning of this season. However, Manzano's appointment did not solve the club's problems. After losing the weekend match 1-2, the team is currently in 18th place in the league table with only 15 points, trailing behind only two teams.
Manzano's contract with the team was still valid for another 18 months. The new team coach appointed for now is the coach of the second team, Antonio Tapia.
