Disqualification of 70 Matches in Austria for Striking the Referee

In the fifth in terms of capacity Austrian football division player of "SK Rum" club Ismail Gunduz was disqualified for 70 matches for hitting the referee in the head.

The incident occurred in the 86th minute when "SK Rum" team was trailing 2:3 against "SPG Innsbruck West". The match was suspended after the incident.

26-year-old I. Gunduz was also fined 260 euros, although according to the regulations he could have received a much harsher punishment: a maximum of 108 matches disqualification and a fine of 10,000 euros.

"SK Rum" has removed the hooligan from the team.
