David Luiz, the defender of London's "Chelsea" who triumphed in the Europa League final, expressed regret about the departure of the team leader Eden Hazard, but placed all hopes on the young Callum Hudson-Odoi.
"Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo could replace Hazard in our team. All that remains is to wish luck to Hazard if he really leaves the club. Eden is a fantastic player, man, and friend.
It's part of life. One cycle ends, another begins. I think there are plenty of talents in the club who could properly replace E. Hazard.
C. Hudson-Odoi is excellent. He is young and has the abilities to one day take Eden's place," explained D. Luiz.
The Brazilian defended the team's coach Maurizio Sarri, who received mixed reviews in his debut season in England.
"He is a young man and a great strategist, and we managed to finish in the best way possible, looking from his side, as we won trophies.
Even when the score was 1:3, we continued to implement the Italian philosophy and tried to score goals," Luiz clarified.
