The famous Diego Maradona commented on his country's national team's fiasco in a friendly match against Venezuela.
The Argentine national team succumbed 1:3 and was heavily criticized.
"I don't like watching horror movies, but I don't know how that bunch of losers thought they could beat Venezuela.
It hurts, because I am Argentine to the core, but with players like O.Ruggeri, G.Batistuta or C.Caniggia's generation.
The current team's players don't deserve to wear these jerseys, while the former players had simply engraved them on their bodies."
As the "Copa 2019" tournament in Brazil approaches, D.Maradona said:
"I sympathize with the Argentines who still believe in this lie, it's a pity for the players who are forced to face the consequences, when acting like this the FA directors destroy the prestige of the national team," - D.Maradona criticized the federation's leaders.
