"It is true that we wanted Cesco Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale," Moyes told the "Daily Star".
"When I first arrived at the club, we immediately talked about Cristiano. We were close to acquiring several famous players, but we couldn't buy them," added the former "Everton" coach.
