San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" coach David Moyes, who is trying to bring the team back to the path of victories, says he was not surprised by Luis Enrique's decision to leave Lionel Messi and Neymar on the bench.

Interestingly, if Barcelona had won, they would have surpassed the Madrid "Real" club, but L. Enrique decided to let the team leaders play only in the second half.
"It was possible to expect that Neymar and Messi would be on the bench," admitted D. Moyes. "I coach a big club that has a great squad and we still have many matches ahead of us."
"We used to talk about Barcelona in my previous coaching experiences at 'Man Utd' and 'Everton'. I admired this team and today I had a unique opportunity to compete against them.
We scored an early goal and I wanted it to be difficult for them to come back. In the championship, I want to compete with 'Real', 'Atletico', 'Barca', 'Valencia' and 'Sevilla', so we will have to strengthen our squad," added D. Moyes.
After 17 rounds, the Basque club coached by Moyes is in 13th place.
