Doneck's "Shakhtar" star Douglas Costa admitted that he would be willing to move to "AC Milan" if the Italian club made an offer for him.
The "Rossoneri" are still hoping to strengthen their squad before the start of the Italian championship, and the 23-year-old Brazilian is one of their targets.
The attacking midfielder says he would be happy to follow in the footsteps of his idol Ronaldinho.
"I am very grateful to Shakhtar for everything they have done for me and if I stay, I will give my all, but I feel ready to move to a big club," the Brazilian told "La Gazzetta dello Sport" when asked about a move to "Milan."
"Ronaldinho has always been my ideal and it would be wonderful to have the chance to follow in his footsteps. If such an opportunity arises, I wouldn't think twice."
Meanwhile, "Shakhtar" coach Mircea Lucescu admitted that the Ukrainian club is willing to sell the player if they receive a suitable offer.
"Milan has the financial resources and prestige to acquire Douglas Costa," Lucescu told "Sky Sports."
"All of our players can leave. We will not stand in anyone's way. The most important thing is for both clubs and the player to reach an agreement."
"I cannot decide his price. But we must keep in mind that we acquired these players when they were 18 or 19 years old, and they became stars right here, at Shakhtar," Lucescu added.
Douglas Costa's contract with the Donetsk club is valid until June 2018, and the player himself is valued at 25 million euros.
