On Friday afternoon in Monaco, the draws for the group stage of the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League season were conducted.
Yesterday the second leg matches were completed, after which all 48 teams participating in this season's Europa League battles were revealed.
Two English football giants learned their opponents. London's "Chelsea" made it to the last group, where they will compete against PAOK Salonika, BATE Borisov, and "Videoton".
Meanwhile, London's "Arsenal" will compete in Group E with Lisbon's "Sporting", "Qarabag", and Poltava's "Vorskla" from Ukraine.
"Milan" will battle in one group with "Olympiakos", "Real Betis", and the first Luxembourg team in the history of this tournament, "Dudelange".
Vilnius' "Žalgiris" tormentor "Sevilla" will compete in Group J against "Krasnodar", "Standard Liege", and "Akhisar". Glazgo's "Celtic", overcoming the barrier of "Sūduva", entered a very challenging group - the Scots will play against "Salzburg", "Leipzig", and "Rosenborg".
The group stage matches of the Europa League will start on September 20th. The final will take place in the capital of Azerbaijan on May 29th.
Before the draw ceremony, it was announced that Madrid's "Atletico" leader Antoine Griezmann, who led his team to triumph in the Europa League last spring, was recognized as the best player of the 2017-18 season.
