On Tuesday, the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation drew the lots for the third stage of the King's Cup for the 2019-20 season.
From this stage, the most powerful clubs of the country will begin to compete. The tournament champion "Valencia" will face the "Logrones" club, the runner-up "Barcelona" will play against "Ibiza-Eivissa".
Madrid teams will compete with teams playing in the third division of the country. Madrid's "Real" will face "Unionistas De Salamanca", and "Atletico" will welcome the "Cultural Leonesa" team.
This stage, starting on January 22, will be different because teams will play only one match against each other. An advantage was given to lower division teams - they will play at home.
After the draw ceremony, a video spread on social media capturing the triumph of the "Unionistas De Salamanca" team. The club, founded almost seven years ago, will have an extraordinary opportunity to face one of the most powerful teams in Spain.
