Didier Drogba insists he does not intend to leave the London club in January, when the transfer window opens.
The coach of the English team, Andre Villas Boas, plans to radically overhaul the team. It was announced a few days ago that defender Alex and striker Nicolas Anelka will leave, so there are now doubts about Drogba's fate, reports the "London Evening Standard."
However, the Ivory Coast national team footballer intends to stay with the team at least until the end of the season, when his contract expires: "I have always said that I will respect my contract with Chelsea until the last minute. I feel good here, and most importantly - I want to help the team fight for top positions."
During this season at Chelsea, Drogba has scored two goals in over 10 matches.
