In the city of San Paulo in Brazil, eight fans of the "Corinthians" football club were shot while preparing posters for future matches.
Witnesses said that on Saturday, three armed attackers broke into the club located in the working-class district. At the same time, representatives of one "Corinthians" fan group were discussing upcoming matches and preparing food.
According to the police, the attackers ordered the "Pavilhao Nove" fan group to lie on the ground. That's how seven "Corinthians" supporters were shot. The eighth was shot while trying to escape.
The police in San Paulo suspect that the "Pavilhao Nove" group may be linked to the criminal world. According to the police, these murders are likely related to drug trafficking, not football.
This is not an isolated case - in Brazil, football fans increasingly get involved with criminals.
