Former "Nerazzurri" defender Dejan Stankovic believes that Milan's "Inter" made the right choice in selecting Roberto Mancini for the position of head coach.
On Friday, the leaders of the fashion capital's team decided to dismiss Walter Mazzarri, who failed to achieve good results with the team this season, leading to R. Mancini taking over the reins of Inter.
The 49-year-old Italian is already well known in the Milan club, as he served as head coach from 2004 to 2008. With "Inter" R. Mancini became the Italian champion three times.
"He knows the environment of this team, and if he didn't know it would take time to grasp it, so this will be a big plus," said former Serbian national team member Stankovic.
"The club and its fans needed this, as they need to feel a connection with the coach," added D. Stankovic, who now works as an assistant coach at "Udinese."
