On Saturday evening in Kaliningrad, a tragedy occurred during a friendly football match between two local teams - "Baltika M" and "Krasnaja zvezda", reported lrytas.lt. During the match, a collision led to the death of the 23-year-old goalkeeper of "Krasnaja zvezda" Aleksandras Šišmariovas. Aleksandras Gvardis shared the details of the tragic event. "During the match, A. Šišmariovas was running in the penalty area to catch the ball and collided with a 'Baltika' player. Preliminary information suggests that the goalkeeper lost consciousness after the collision, bit his tongue and suffocated. It was definitely not a brain trauma. The emergency services arrived to rescue the athlete 25 minutes after the incident. Medics tried to revive A. Šišmariovas for an hour, but it was in vain. It's a terrible tragedy", - said the manager.
