Belgian football can be shaken by tragedy.
It is reported that Gregory Mertens, who played for the youth team of "Lokeren", lost consciousness during a match.
Medics rushed to the field to try to revive the 24-year-old player who had fallen into a coma. After a few minutes of the match not being completed, it was interrupted and Mertens was taken to the hospital.
It is reported that the new player from "Lokeren" is fighting for his life.
Previously a defender without health problems, this season he played three Europa League matches.
