Could it be that a footballer would be bitten by a crocodile during training? It could. And this assumption was confirmed by the star of the Netherlands football team and Bayern Munich player Arjen Robben. The incident with one of the best footballers in the world and the reptile took place in Qatar, where the German team is preparing for spring battles, Bild wrote.
During training, one of the balls ended up in a pool-like pond next to the football field. When A.Robben went to retrieve the ball, the crocodile unexpectedly attacked the man and bit his hand.
Fortunately, the crocodile was not big and the player, with the help of football enthusiasts watching the training, got rid of the "nuisance", recovering from the bites and scare.
So, in Qatar, the 30-year-old A.Robben currently wears a bandage on his left hand and trains with the team. However, he no longer goes to retrieve the ball from suspicious water bodies.
