Goalkeeper Dmitrijus Chochlovas of the Moscow and Russian national team followed the example of his team mate goalkeeper Sergejus Ovčinikovas and joined the former coach Jurijus Siominas by moving to another capital club.
About the transfer of S. Ovčinikovo to "Dinamo" was talked about a couple of weeks ago, but the player initially denied this information and represented "Lokomotiv" in the UEFA Cup match against "Brondby". However, at the end of the contract with "Railroadmen" on November 30, the goalkeeper signed a two-year contract with "Dinamo", which the latter club officially announced today.
Together with the presentation of S. Ovčinikovas, it was revealed that 30-year-old defender D. Chochlovas is also moving to "Lokomotiv", whose contract has also expired, and after considering offers from several Russian clubs, he chose "Dinamo". According to the player, his decision was influenced by the fact that the former longtime "Lokomotiv" strategist J. Siominas will train this team next season.
The arrival of experienced goalkeeper S. Ovčinikovas to the "militsiya" club is not good news for Lithuanian football fans, as this team is represented by our national team's main goalkeeper, who for many years had to practically play only in the "Dinamo" reserve team, and now remains third choice in the main lineup after the Portuguese Nunu.
However, the club does not seem ready to part with the promising Lithuanian, and instead is preparing to part ways with Armenian national team goalkeeper Roman Berezovski. The latter is included in the list of players for sale by "Dinamo" along with three Lithuanians - defender Marius Kazlauskas loaned to the team from Vilnius, defender Tomas Tamošauskas who represented "Kaunas" for several months this season, and forward Tadas Labuckas, who returned to Klaipėda's "Atlantas" for a time last year.
Meanwhile, in the "Lokomotiv" camp there are not the only news. The club extended contracts with defenders Sergejumi Gurenko and Olegu Pašininu, but club president Valerijus Filatovas also announced another loss - the team will not have a defender from Brazil, the best player of the 2004 "Premier League" Francisco Lima, who left the team on the eve of important league and UEFA Cup matches, although his contract was still valid until the summer of 2006.
