"TOPsport A Lyga" continues with unbreakable defense can be proud of Telšiai's "Džiugas". The championship leaders played at home in the 6th round with Kaunas district's "Hegelmann" footballers - 0:0.
Andrius Lipskis' coached team started the match actively. Vincentas Šarkauskas had to work by deflecting Dominykas Kubilinskas' attempt. Much more work had to be done by Marius Paukštė - the goalkeeper defended against Michael Thuique's pair of shots.
As the half was coming to an end, Klaudijus Upstas dangerously attacked, but the "Džiugas" goalkeeper was once again impenetrable.
After the break, the visitors controlled the ball longer, but there were not many threatening moments created near both goals. Both goalkeepers dealt with shots from D. Kubilinskas and Leo Ribeiro.
"Džiugas" has 12 points and ranks first, while the "Hegelmann" team with 11 points steps into second place.
