In the 8th round of the "TOPsport A League," Telšiai's "Džiugas," who played at home, returned to the path of victories - this time in front of their own fans, they defeated FA "Šiauliai" with a score of 2:1 (2:1).
After playing almost a third of the first half, Christianas Bella struck from a quite acute angle towards the upper corner of the goal, but Lukas Paukštė saved confidently. A few minutes later, there was a response from the Šiauliai team - Domantas Šimkus attacked from afar, and the ball flew over the goal.
In the 18th minute, Eridanas Bagužas passed to Dominykas Kubilinskas, who, although hindered by opponents, made a dangerous attempt, which L. Paukštė had to save his team from again.
After Dejan Trajkovski's pass, in the 54th minute, D. Kubilinskas could have scored, but his header missed the target. In the next episode, Lukas Ankudinovas attempted a shot from a bit further away, but the ball was caught by the opponents' goalkeeper.

"Džiugas" doubled their lead in the 79th minute, when after a great pass from Džiugas Aleksa, Ch. Bella stood out with an accurate shot. In the last minute of added time, the Šiauliai team narrowed the gap - Davis Ikauniekas scored with a precise header.
After the victory in the 8th round, "Džiugas" rose to 2nd place in the tournament table and has 15 points in their region, while the representatives of Saulės miestas are in seventh place with 7 points.
